A student’s Educational records are official and confidential documents as protected by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act or FERPA.

FERPA strictly prohibits the release and dissemination of personally identifiable student information. In order to comply with FERPA and facilitate data verification, districts and corresponding schools are cautioned against sharing any information with unauthorized individuals or third party entities. Additionally, the responsibility for adhering to and applying the FERPA guidelines on a daily basis, falls to the individual[s] in charge of distributing and safe guarding any/all student records.
